November and weight loss.........

Hi Everyone

So sorry ive not been bloggin lately - duno whats happened to be honest!

My mind has just went back to being in its old ways "oh one fattening meal won't hurt" "might as well restart me diet on monday" the usual!

So got weighed this morning and ive put on 1lb.

Not too bad - but i havent been to weight watchers in two weeks now.

Last week I found out that a woman ive worked with for the last 5 years died or COPD - RIP Val u will definately be missed! And I was ill with that stupid sickness bug so i didnt make it!

In all honesty I was going to go this morning but i completely forgot all about it!

DEFINATELY will go next week!!!!!!

100% im back on me diet from NOW!
  
Me and Jay have our mates coming up from Leeds next weekened so going to try and loose as much as I can before they get here as no doubt we'll be drinking quite a bit!

Me worry is its gettin close to xmas now and ive only lost 7.5lbs so far - I wanted 1 stone off by xmas! I dont want to fail :(

Wedding Flowers - ARGUEMENTS!!!!

So I was all excited about going tonight to get our flowers sorted out for the wedding, made the mistake however of bringing my mum!!!!!

Honestly just casually mentioned the meeting this morning and shes like

"u have to get ur aunty a flower for the wedding, SHES MY ONLY SISTER!!!!!!!!"

that was her first point

then it was "U HAVE TO GET UR BROTHER A FLOWER!!!!!!!!!"

So in total I need about 20 buttonholes... might as well give everyone who is coming to the day time a freakin button hole as there is going to be more with than without!!!

My impression was that its only the ushers, best man, groom and dads that get one.... but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO my mum wants my uncle to have one and my brother..... 

Girl wise (they dont even technically need one) theres my mum and his mum (apparently they should be different to everyone elses) my nan, his nan, his stepmum, his sister and my aunty!

Im so annoyed!

Im not made of money!!!!!!!!!!!

   

Wow - weight loss!!!

Hey everyone

So yesterday was weigh day!

I did okay ish last week, had 1 night out drinking and the following day I just pigged out!  Hangovers are a nightmare!!! :(

But on the plus side got weighed and lost..........

2lbs yaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!!!!

So thats 8.5lbs in 4 weeks :D

Which means I am only 1lb away from loosing my 5% in weight GET IN!!!!!!!!!!!

Takeaway???? hmmmmmm............

Hey all

Haven't been very well over the last couple of days, caught this sickness bug thats been going round :(

But by last night I was starting to feel a lot better when I got a text off my fiance.... "I fancy a chinese tonight"

Its prob the first time I've thought to myself that even though I really wanted one, I turned it down.

I ended up having a weight watchers spag bol meal instead! GO ME!!! haha

But even though I haven't been very well I don't think ive lost any weight this week which is quite gutting.

I got weighed yesterday morning and the scales still said the same as they did on tuesday :(

I know I would definately loose a lot more weight if I did exercise, but honestly I just cant be bothered and I know thats an awful attitude to have!

Everyday when I'm at work I'll be thinking "yes definatly going to do a workout tonight" then I get home, sit on the sofa and watch tv!

If I had some spare money Id go to like a gym or start zumba again, but im skint!

Xmas/Wedding has taken away every spare bit of money I had left, so its down to me and my living room!

I think after reading this back all I can think is that I am being lazy, so once again I will tell myself "I WILL EXERCISE TONIGHT!!!!!!"

Weight Loss - week 3

omg im soooooooooooo happy!!!

another 1lb off this week which means im now 6.5lbs down in 3 weeks!!!!

had an okayish week too so I think looking back if I had been a little bit better food/drink wise I would of lost more!

ate well all week then on wednesday night went to an italians and a concert - ended up eating potato skins for start with garlic sauce and 1/2 pizza and salad for me main - 2 glasses of wine and 1 pint of fosters.

To be honest looking back I could have had muscles or bruscetta for starter and a pasta or salad for me main and that would of been a lot less fattening! But then  I suppose if I was eating healthy all the time I might just get sick of it and end up coming off the diet so I'm trying to balance it out as much as I can :)

would love to hit the 1/2 stone mark next week but im not going to just aim for 1/2lb as i would like to loose a bit more! so my goal for next week is 1.5lbs - best be good!

got plenty of veg/weight watcher meals in the house so just need to make sure i stick to them.  no takeaways etc!

out on saturday night for a few drinks so i think ill just stick to single vodka soda n lime :) as thats only 2 points each!

More weight loss YAY

Hey all!!!

I got weighed again on Tuesday - was quite worried as although I was good for the maj of the week I did have 2 cheat nights oops!!

But I got weighed and lost 0.5lb YAY

So far I have now lost 5.5lbs in 2 weeks woooop!

Being really good now for this weeks weight loss! Going to try and not go out this weekend so I dont drink! Ive stocked up on weight watcher meals so I wont snack aaaaaaaaaaand there is no alcohol in the house haha!

WEIGHT LOSS!!!!!!!!!!

So I think the last time that I was on here I mentioned that I joined Weight Watchers.

Well I had a REALLY GOOD WEEK! Tried to stick within my pro point limit of 27 and weekly limit of 49 and lost............

5 LBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Omg I was so so happy!
But I dont think ive lost any this week, I think after the initial drop my body is adjusting and I think I will probably stay the same when I get weighed on Tuesday - but u never know! I may just loose weight - fingers crossed!

Update on Wedding Plans :)

So sorry I haven't been on here for a while!

But a little update on wedding plans :)

On Sunday 7th October me and my MOH Amy went to Newcastle Racecourse for a wedding fair!

Saw some really good and interesting ideas!

For instance - theres a company called "Pod Shotz" which is basically a plastic pod, filled with any shot of our choice and its sealed with a plastic lid which has a personalised message on it.  Thought it would go nice in our favour boxes :)  They also fill them with sweets for kid ones! Only £24.95 for 28 which is a fab price I think!

Other than that to be honest there wasn't much of interest!

Two suit companies were there - which were Slaters and Moss Bros - but my other half does need to go himself to work out what kind of suit he wants.

BUT

and I think the main part of this day was that the room they had set up was done in an AMAZING pastel colour theme - green and pink - which I LOVED!!!!!!!!!! So instead of my posts and our wedding theme being light blue it is now going to be............

PASTEL PINK & PASTEL GREEN

It looked lovely all set up so I was having a chat with my other half and we thought that the lads cravats would be in the green colour and the bridesmaid dresses would be in the pink.

Then the tables and chairs would be a mixture of both colours, but I will have to check with the chair cover company that is included within our package to ensure that they wont charge us any extra to have the two colours rather than the one!!!

Week so far! :)

Hey all!

So my week so far......

Been very healthy!

Had ham salad in a brown pitta bread for me lunch tuesday and yesterday, chicken and veg for me tea tues night, gammon peas and tomato last night for tea and just been eating weight watchers bars for my breakkie so ive cut down on my bread in take too! YAY!

Trying to drink a lot of water so feeling quite bloated maj of time but ive been told this feeling passes after a while!

Just got this new workout dvd too - Sean T Insanity Workout - its meant to be amazing if followed correctly so im just waiting on that arriving - hoping by tomorrow and I will get started :)

Went to see Dirty Dancing last night - it was immense and I resisted the usual chocolate and ice cream from the overpriced stalls lol so i was good!

Working tonight until 9pm though so not sure whether I should have tea when I get in or not! Dont really like eating at that time of night but im always hungry by then, so may just have a little weight watchers meal!

Feeling quite positive! People at work today had pizza n chips etc from the chippy but i just had a 7 point sandwich, a ww yogurt and a peach!

Hoping it'll last!

Wedding wise - theres a massive wedding fair on sunday at the Newcastle Racecourse so im looking forward to going to that with my maid of honour Amy! Must not sample the cakes though! MUST NOT!

I will let you all know next week how that went! :)

Slightly closer to finishing our guest list - by that I mean ive wrote down who I think is our guests ha just waiting on jay doing his bit!

Started Weight Watchers TODAY!

So I have just joined weight watchers!

After a terrible weekend I now weigh 12st 7.5lbs 


I have been given 26 points per day and 49 to use within a week!

I have to loose 5% within 12 weeks which takes me down to 11stone 12 however by Xmas I want at least a stone off so I am setting my own goal and that is...........

11st 7lbs

I will do it I will!!!!!!!!!!!

Going shopping at dinner time to get some healthy stuff to eat, but Ive also got weight watcher meals in my house which I can have too!

Dont think im doing anything tonight so im going to get my butt on the cross trainer and work out!

Every little helps - so asda say anyways!

Weekend.........

So quite disapointedly I had a bad weekend.

Outa sheer boredom and I guess lack of money to go and buy food we just ate what was in the freezer all weekend and unfortuantely that was pizza, currys, chips etc!

Quite disapointed in myself thinking about it, I need to plan better money wise for the month so that I am not worrying about not having enough money towards the end therefore not being able to buy salad, veg, that kinda thing!

Joining weight watchers tomorrow and although payday is not until friday I'm going to borrow some ££££ off my mum so that I can at the very least buy some veg or something!

Looking forward to joining weight watchers actually.  Going at 6pm, so that I can stay for the whole class to get intructions on how to do the diet and hopefully a bit of inspiration!

I can still loose a stone by xmas I think with the right planning!

Also going to be exercising at least 3 times a week to begin with! Even if its just a little bit its more than I am doing now so anything will help :)

I think when I get bored or feel down I eat as comfort as im sure a lot of people out there do! Need to try and get out of this habit! And maybe go for a walk instead? Maybe if you read this blog and u do the same u cud let me know how you got out of that habit?

Photographer is BOOKED!!!!

The photographer came to see us last night and I must admit we were really impressed.

A lot of photographers either creep me out or just look scruffy (the ones ive met anyways) but he impressed us.  It was only a 15 minute chat at our house but he was on time, polite, smart and more importantly his photos were AMAZING!

I was seriously impressed!

Off on Sunday to Longhirst Hall to meet the suppliers who work with us included in our package with the venue and then to a wedding fair at The Sage - cannot wait!!!

Mid Week Update

Hey all

So we're now midweek and I've done good so far this week.  Ate healthy and walked about 15 mins each day which I know is not much, but its a start!

Already worried about the weekend as I'm going out for a meal - hate worrying about what to wear! I've ordered a new skirt n top so I just pray it looks okay on me! All my clothes feel either tight or make me look fat! :(

Haven't managed to walk to work - its been chucking it down and my fiance just wont budge on the walking situation so seen as im the only driver outa the 2 of us, its either drive or he wont go to work lol! But ive managed to get in a walk at dinner time so all is good!

Still no vouchers from weight watchers though! Grrrr! Its so frustrating as I could of joined yesterday but HAVE to wait for the vouchers!

My aim is a stone off my xmas (more or less 1lb per week so should be doable) and another stone off by our hols in june! :)

Monday 24th September - weekend


Not going to lie had a hurrendous weekend!
Stuck infront of my laptop for the whole weekend was not good! Uni work is finished as of late tonight so should be able to start working out!

Got weighed this morning - stayed the same as last week which isnt too bad considering i didnt have the best week!

Felt a little low over the weekend though, but cheered up as my  weight watcher vouchers have arrived from the doctors - so im starting that at 10am tomorrow YAY! :-D

Very excited to get myself on a proper structured diet that i can follow so watch this space!!!

- so just found out after phoning weight watchers that i might not get my pack for 14 days :( sob! so gonna try and get my mum to join tomorrow so that i can follow the info in her book for my diet! xx

How far we've got with our wedding plans......



So I decided not to make this blog all about my weight loss Ive decided to include our wedding preparations too!! xx

Here is how far we have got with our wedding plans :)

We are getting married at:

Longhirst Hall - Morpeth on May 4th 2014 at 1pm

The venue is booked and deposit paid for.
Registrar is booked and deposit paid for.

The package we get at our venue includes 50 day and eve guests so we just now have to sort out who is coming to both or just the evening? Prob have about 100 eve guests in total!

Chair covers and sash are included within the package too!

The colour we have went for is LIGHT BLUE (which is what all wedding posts will be in)

So far light blue I have bought scatter crystals (thats it lol) but I have seen the table runners in light blue organza that I would like to get however I need to work out how many table there will be before I do that!

We have our florist sorted - just need to meet with her, decide exactly what we are having and pay a deposit to her.  http://www.stemginger.com/
She is amazing and so talented with faux flowers - I think I will be having silk ones rather than real as they can last forever :D

Erm what else have we got.....

Maid of honour, Bridesmaid, Best Man & Usher have been chosen - Trying to see if we can afford one extra of each as theres a couple we really want to ask but dont know if we're able to afford another suit, another dress etc.

Meeting our photographer on tuesday night, he is bringing us some photo albums that he has shot and designed, so if we are impressed we shall be booking him :)

Oh and we know we want to go to Egypt for 3 weeks for our honeymoon just not sure what hotel yet!

I will keep u updated as and when something is booked :) xx

Stupid, stupid me!



So feeling today like ive let myself down.
All day yesterday was adament that I was going to have a stir fry for tea - went to shop at dinner time and bought everything I needed, then had SUCH a bad afternoon at work - was so stressed ended up having a takeaway :(
Not just a takeaway though - had 1/2 pizza, chips and kebab meat.  As soon as id ate it I thought why did i just do that???
So feeling pretty awful today about it.

Had brown toast for breakkie with banana and jacket potato low fat filler n salad for dinner, and i WILL have a stir fry for tea tonight.

Dreading gettin on the scales on tues morning though - prob put on weight rather than lose any!

So its been a bad start but I will get better I promise!

My diet and goals!


Ok so here are my plans for dieting and what I am aiming for!

By May 4th 2014 I want to be at least 2 stone lighter! So my goal is to remain somewhere between 10st and 10st 5lbs.  
I am a dress size 16.  My goal is to be able to fit into size 12.

Dieting has always been my problem - as soon as I hear the word "diet" I am hungry so I'm going to try and do this weight loss thing as painfree as possible ha!

I am going to join Weight Watchers next week (awaiting vouchers) and stick to their diet - I find structure a lot easier to follow!

Until then however it is up to me to get started.

So for breakfast I am going to be having fruit.... I have grapefruit, bananas, tangerines & apples currently in my fridge so I think I will be having some of them each morning.

I once read that doing exercise in the morning will help speed up my weight loss, so as of tomorrow I am going to do at least 15 mins worth of either brisk walk or x trainer each morning.

Not an excuse but my uni work is due in on sunday and I am having to spend each night infront of the computer so I am unable to do any exercise after work just for this week.  So this is why I am going to do it in the morning!

Ive also suggested to my fiance that we walk to work one day a week to start off with (about a 20 minute walk one way) but he wants to begin that next friday lol - no idea why! So I will have to persuade him to try that out sooner!

I am determined!!!!!

For dinner this week I'm going to have either jacket potatoes with a low fat filler n salad, or just salad with the 1cal caeser sauce spray

For tea its going to be meat and veg! Aiming for 2lbs off by monday! Wish me luck :) x

Starting off!

I've got to start somewhere!!!!

 Ok so here goes, this is my blog.

I'm Nicola and I am 25 years old.  Like any other girl out there I have struggled with my weight all my life!  I don't think I have ever had a moment where I look in the mirror and thought WOW about myself.  Dont get me wrong this isn't a blog full of self pity its more of a challenge for myself.

Today I begin my new life!

I am engaged and due to get married on May 4th 2014.  I WILL NOT look like I do now on our wedding day - this is the promise I have made to myself.

This morning I got weighed and although I don't admit this to anyone - I will admit to you (anyone who wants to follow my blog) I am a size 16 and I weigh 12 stone 5lbs.  I went to the doctors this morning on an unrelated issue and she worked out my bmi as 29.9 :( which according to the NHS anything over 25 is seen as overweight.

I'm not sure how I have managed to put this much weight on but I am now determined to lose it!

So here goes nothing.........!

Each week I will weigh myself, share what I have been eating/doing for exercising on here and please feel free to comment!
